Who conducts GATE 2022?
IIT Kharagpur is the organizing institute for the Graduate aptitude test in engineering (GATE) 2022.
IIT Bombay is hand over the responsibility of organizing the gate 2022 to IIT Kharagpur after successful completion of GATE 2021. Actually, the GATE paper is organized by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore. As we know GATE 2021 paper was made by IIT Bombay so this year’s paper will be made by IIT Kharagpur.
GATE 2022 have two new engineering papers
On 26 May 2022, our union education minister announced that two new engineering papers were added to GATE 2022. which are given below
Naval architecture and marine engineering (NM)
This Paper contains the General Aptitude (GA) section of (15 Marks) as per the other Engineering papers of GATE 2022.
The remaining Paper will have 85 marks covering the core syllabus of this paper.

Geomatics engineering (GE)
This Paper contains the General Aptitude (GA) section of (15 Marks) as per the other engineering papers of GATE 2022.
The remaining paper consists of two parts that cover the syllabus in two parts which are Part A which has (55 marks) and Part B of (30 marks).
Part A is compulsory for all the candidates of Geomatic Engineering.
Part B contains two optional sections: Section I and Section II. Candidates have to choose any one of these at the time of the examination. you should know that No separate score and ranking will be provided based on the selection of part A and part B sections.

GATE 2022 will be conducted on 5th Feb, 6th Feb, 12th Feb, and 13 Feb in forenoon and afternoon sessions.
The above dates are liable to change because of the covid-19 situation.

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2022
A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd year or higher year of any undergraduate degree program or has already completed. That Means an engineering student who is in the 3rd year can also appear for GATE 2022 and also other degree programs students like architecture, science, commerce, or Arts can also appear for GATE 2022. And as we know there is no age limit to apply for GATE 2022.
