What is Mechanical Engineering? Know all about Mechanical Engineering

What is Mechanical Engineering?

Mechanical Engineering is one of the branches of the Engineering field which deals with Machines,
and their Design, production and how its operation. It is Combines Engineering physics and mathematics principles with material science to design, analyze, manufacture and maintain the mechanical system.
Mechanical Engineering core areas are Mechanics, dynamics, Thermodynamics, structure analysis, Heat transfer, designing, and material science. Mechanical Engineering has introduced as an Engineering field during the industrial revolution in Europe in the 18th century. After that in the 19th century, the development in Physics is led to the development of Mechanical Engineering.
Today Mechanical Engineers are pursuing development in mechanical areas like Composite material, nanotechnology, and mechatronics. It also overlaps with metallurgical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production Engineering.
The first mechanical device or the machine which is the Wheel and axel mechanism was invented in Mesopotamia (Modern Iraq) during the 5th millennium BC.
