Jeep launched the all-new Jeep Meridian in India which comes in 7 seater SUV category, it will compete with the legendary Toyota Fortuner, and MG Gloster. Skoda kodiaq and Mahindra alturas G4. It will be launched in May 2022 and diesel engine is the only model, to begin with but petrol engine option also arrive later.
Jeep Meridian: powertrain options
the heart of the Meridian will be the same as the Jeep compass which is a 2.0 lit diesel engine that puts out 170hp of power and 350Nm of peak torque but still, there is an expectation the engine will be calibrated or tuned to handle the extra weight of the meridian.
If we talk about transmission then it will be available in 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque converter gearbox, there is an (FWD) option in 6-speed manual and 4×4 options for 9-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Meridian: exterior design
The all-new Meridian is based on the same platform as the Compass and its design is differentiated to make it stand out from the jeep compass. It has an extended wheelbase and more upright tail section to give more space in a third row.
