Maruti Suzuki launched two new SUVs in its Nexa category at Auto Expo 2023 Maruti Jimny and a new coupe model FronX which is an upgraded version of Baleno and lower than the Grand Vitara. Jimny is a true off-roader vehicle that will be going to compete with Mahindra Thar and FronX based on the Heartect platform which same as Baleno.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny was born in 1970 and now this is the 4th Generation which brings some amazing off-road capabilities with a refined 1.5 lit naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 104.8 PS of power and 134.2 Nm of torque which is enough power figures for this compact off-roader.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes in two transmission options 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic, it has dedicated gears for 2WD, 4WD, 4WD low, and 4WD high. If we talk about the gross weight of the SUV then it’s 1545 kg and it comes with only 15-inch alloy wheels but the tire profile is huge which is 195/80 R15 which means it has big side profile tires.
It is based on the ladder frame chassis which provides great off-roading capabilities, it has one of the best departure angles of 50 degrees and an approach angle is 36 degrees which makes it a proper offroading SUV available in India.

Maruti launched the new coupe model car which is based on the Heartect platform and it comes in two engine options which are a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0 L turbo petrol engine here are the more specs
The 1.2 L naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 89.73 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque, The 1.0 L turbo petrol engine produces 100PS of power and 147.6 nm of torque. If we talk about transmission options then 1.2 L coupled with 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed AMT, 1.0L turbo petrol engine comes with the 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission.
